Poppy's secret wish Emily Mae Kaplitz chapter1 This book is about a girl named poppy who wants to move to level 5 whit her best friend jasmine but the teacher may not pick her for trie outs so she is very wried. then her teacher picks her but she and jasmine don't get moved up to level 5. so far this book is very boring I'm not shore if i like it or not. I read this book when I was in 3rd grade and liked it but maybe I want like it this year because I'm older.
In this section, Dustfinger and Farid went to Capricorn's village and talked to a woman named Rita. She didn't like Capricorn and she wanted to run away. Dustfinger and Farid still didn't know that Meggie and Fenoglio were captured. Rita told them that Magpie ( Capricorn's mother ) had the Basta's keys. That would make it harder for them to get the keys. Mo and Elinor ( who didn't want to be returning ) went to find Meggie and Fenoglio. He knew they were there because Basta scratched his name into the table. Dustfinger and Farid found them entering the village and stopped them. Mo blamed Dustfinger for what happened to Meggie. He said it was not his faut ( it wasn't. ) Meanwhile Capricorn doesn't belive that Fenoglio wrote Inkheart. He is trying to prove it by telling thing in the book that were unmentioned. Capricorn wanted to kill Fenoglio but he said if he died they would die to. Capricorn was intimidated. He lcked the two up in Farids old "cell".
This book is very good. I love the authors creativity. Elinor is a funny character because she is always complaining and cursing. She is unhappy about being in Capricorn's village. I would never have guessed that Basta takes them back to the village. Besides for the magic, the book is very unrealistic.
eventually antsy realizies that the whole time gunner only thought he was sick and going to die. it was really all in his head. antsy dates gunners older sister kjersten who is 16 and older then antsy. one day on a date with kjersten at his familys restraunt he pord water on the govener because he started complaining at every aspect of the dinner that made him famous. the resteraunt became the most popular in brooklyne. the commercias had him pouring water on celebrites. every one came hoping to get drenched but antsy. and before long every one was going to paris, capish the name of there french itlian resteraunt
This bbook is about a post-apocalyptic wasteland. It focuses around a man who fights the demons and is looking for the one that kills his family. IT also focuses around a group of children. A rival group of theirs has a sick person and they are trying to find some pentelen to help her. They found a mutant human lizard and a group of monsters that were killed by something. The story then changes to the demon that killed the man's family. HE is attacking a city in search for a person with emmnse magical abiltiy. He sends his right man hand to do the job and then you go back to Logan (The man). Logan is in the woods and is told by an Indian that there is a person called the Gypsy Morph who can change forms. That person alone has the power to save humanity.
Dhruv Frozen Fire 1-50 This book so far is about a girl that’s home alone. Her mother walks out on her dad so her dad isn’t home. He’s on a date. While she’s at home, she gets a phone call with a boy saying “I’m dying”. She doesn’t believe him at first but the background voice is so real that she knows he’s telling the truth. A weird thing about this boy is that he could guess her name very closely and used her brother that went missing’s name as his nickname because he didn’t have a name. She figured out that this boy was very close to her home so she ran outside into a park that was closed. She saw footprints in the snow which was still pouring so she knew that someone came only a little while ago. She got to the end of the foot prints and they just stopped. Then two people came with pittbulls and captured her to question her. She broke free, climbed a few fences, then ran back home. She made it before her dad came home.
Dhruv Frozen Fire 50-100 After Dusty’s dad came home they talked about how his date went. Her mom left her so her dad was having trouble in his life. He was crying a little. After that, dusty went to sleep. She had a flashback dream of what happened to her that night. When she woke up next morning she ate breakfast with her dad. In the middle of breakfast her dad got a phone call. Then when her dad left, she got a txt to go to a restaurant to talk to her friend about what happened. When her dad came back, he told her he got a job offer, they were really happy. Her dad drove her to the restaurant and she discovered that almost everybody knew about what happened because of big Mac. Then she gets a call from the kid last night. I liked this book because it is different. It has a lot of dialogue too. Almost all of it is dialogue.
Tessa's story Emily Mae Kaplitz Finished This story was about a girl who was born with Ollier's disease. This disease made her right leg shorter then her left. As she grew she was having a hard time walking so her parents took her to a special Doctor.She had to get a lot of surgeries on the girl.she had to travel 1000 miles for this surgery. she also had to have physical therapy. when she got the brace she had on off, she was very happy. This story was a very detailed story
When I got back toi reading the girl was trying to get children out of the compound and to safety. She has to face a 7;5 foot tall demon though. She beat it by blasting fire in its face and then have staris falling on it. Later you find out that the demon is still alive and that she is hunting the girl down then.
You then go to the Ghosts and they are looking for purifiers for their water. They get to the warehouse and then Candle senses an evil presence. Panther takes it even though everyone is scared. I think thqat the evil presence was the demon. Hawk, the leader of the ghosts, meets up with a girl from the compund and gets the Peneten for Persia, who is from a rival gang.
There is also an elf who is in the chosen, who garuds the magic tree which guards the elves from demons. He is out inspecting the tree when it begins to talk to him. This is amazing becuase the tree never talks to anyone. He goes to tell the king but has to wait 2 hours becuase the boys cousin already told the king. She said thea the tree said something to her but she did no0t believe it. The tree had said that they must find the elfstones so that they can hold the tree in it and move its location.
I think this is a really good book. It feels good to have a book i like again becuase I was stuck on my last book for a long time. I think the book lets you guess on a lot of stuff and it is surprsing.
Neil Menghani Touch the Top of the World: A Blind Man's Journey to Climb Farther Than the Eye Can See Erik Weihenmayer (nobody knows how to pronounce that) 1-205 4/27/09
Okay, in the beginning of Erik's life, he is in a car with his dad coming home from his brother's basketball game, when his dad notices his eyes wavering. He takes Erik to the eye doctor, and finds out he has a disease, and by high school, he will be completely blind. Erik reads with thick glasses and loses sight in his left eye completely. He was getting frustrated that he couldn't do things like basketball and dirt-bike riding. However, he decided his goal in life would be to become better at what he could do. when he got to high school he did lose his vision, and went to a camp with blind people. He met people just like him, an found a girl that he built a strong relationship with. THen, when he came back to high school, he was not doing well. He bumped into walls and doors. However, he found something he was "good" at. Wrestling (he beat one person who was weaker than him). A few years later, he developed an interest in rock climbing. In college, he found a girl named Ellen, who he liked. Erik decided to marry her after a fewq months.
Erik made a climbing team, and climbed Mount McKinley (the tallest mountain in North America). Erik was very confident then; maybe overconfident. He made a new goal; to be the first blind man to climb the tallest mountain of all seven continents. Soon it was time for his and Ellen's wedding. THe decided to get married half way up Mt. Kilamanjaro. That is where I stopped.
I really like this book, because it is one of my only nonfiction books. It is also very interesting. I really don't understand how it is possible for him to climb Mount Everest (soon to come).
In this section, Capricorn moved Meggie and Fenogio into his house, Meggie tried to escape twice but the guards caught her both time. She was reading Darius' book (Peter Pan) and Tinker Bell flew out! Before Meggie and Fenogio could hide Tinker Bell Basta came and found her. He took her away and put her in a coffee mug because he thought it was good luck. The the Magpie wanted to test Meggie's skills and made her read the tin soldier, and the tin soldier came out of the book. Meanwhile Dustfinger and Resa (Meggie's Mom) were locked up and Meggie was going to read the Shadow out of Inkheaart. The Shadow was to kill Dustfinger and Resa. In the woods, Farid, Mo, and Elinor came up with a plan. Mo was going to write a message to Meggie in their code and tie it to Gwin's collar and have him take it to Meggie. So Farid broght Gwin in the village and he climbed up the wall to Meggie's room. SHe read the letter and told Mo that she could read to and exactly where she was. Then she gave it back to Gwin and Farid took him back. Farid stole the outfits so Elinor, Mo, and himself could get into the village. They did go but Cockrel was the guard and he recognized them. He tried to shoot them but he had very bad aim. Meggie herd the gun shoots and got nervous. Fenogio told her it was not her father. The next morning Basta came and took Meggie to the Magpie again. She had Maggie practice reading the portion Capricorn wanted her to read. Later that day Fenogio asked Basta for a pencil and paper. He gave it to him. Fenogio wanted to try something, he wrote the tin soldier story with a happy ending for the soldier and had Meggie read it. She read it and the tin soldeir went back to his home and his story ended happily. Fenogio said he would write a new part of Inkheart so when Meggie read it the Shadow wouldn't hurt Dustfinger and Resa, but it would hurt Capricorn. It was worth a shot. Meanwhile the Magpie took Dustfinger and Resa to the cellar. They talked (Resa can't talk!) Dustfinger told her that he loved her, and it was O.K. that he loved her even though it was Mo's wife because Mo told him that he would not say anything to Fenogio about him/
I think this book is very going. It is filled with action and it almost never gets boring. I hope Meggie and Fenogio can pull of the trick with the Shadow. I have less than 100 pages left and I an eager to know what will happen next!
Hero and Beatrice had to move to Maryland and Hero wasn't happy about it. She was jealous because Beatrice was popular and pretty. Then their mom asked Hero if she could return their neighbor's shears. Hero didn't want to go. She walked into her garden and returned the gardening tool, that's when it all started. Mrs. Roth asked hero if she knew about the Murphy Diamond. Hero didn't hear of it and Mrs. Roth was about to tell her when Beatrice told her dinner was ready, so she told Hero she would have to come back later to here the story. The next day was the first day of school. Hero didn't want to go. Hero couldn't find her class room so she was late. The teacher, Mrs. Vanderly, introduced Hero to the class. A girl said her dog's name was Hero and everyone made fun of her. For the rest of the day (and weeks) everyone made fun of Hero. When she came home from school she went to Mrs. Roth's house and she told her the story of the Murphy Diamond. The story of the Murphy Diamond:
Edward de Vere was Mrs. Eleanor Murphy's ancestor. Eleanor got a necklace that was given to him. The necklace had a 17 carrot diamond in it. Mr. Murphy had insurance on the diamond and one day money and only the diamond. A few weeks before that his wife was diagnosed with cancer. He probably took the diamond out of the necklace so the insurance would pay him and he would have enough money to go to Mexico for an operation and treatment. While the police and the detectives were searching the house Eleanor was dying and she died before the insurance payed them Eleanor died. The police thought he hid the diamond in the house, but they searched many times and the diamond was not found.
Hero helped Mrs. Roth with crossword puzzles and they ate cinnamon toast with each other. Hero stayed until five o'clock, and Mrs. Roth didn't finish talking to Hero so she wanted her to come tomorrow after schools. At home Hero told her parents everything went well at school. They were happy. Hero's dad told her about Edward de Vere. The story of Edward de Vere:
William Shakespeare might not be the actually author of the plays. It was more likely that Edward de Vere wrote them. The real Shakespeare was an uneducated merchant. The people who work at Maxwell (people who study Shakespeare) thought it was unlikely for Shakespeare to have written the plays. (This paragraph is actually true!)
The next day at school the kids still teased her about her name. She tried to ignore it but it was hard for her. It rained really hard and she was drenched by the time she got to Mrs. Roth's house. Mrs. Roth showed Hero something. It was Eleanor's necklace. On the back there was a bird carrying a branch and AE. The diamond was not there. Mrs. Roth told Hero that there was also a note that said -
Miriam Eleanor would have wanted you to have this. You were a good friend to her. - A Do not gentle into that good night. Rage, rage against the dying of the light
Mrs. Roth and Hero thought it was a clue. So they decided that Hero would look for the diamond when her parents and Beatrice were not around. So on Saturday, her parents went to the National Gallery in D.C. and Beatrice went to her friend Kelly's house. So when everyone left she started looking for a trap door in a bookshelf. (Because the poem was from a book and she thought it was a clue.) She spent four hours looking and then Danny Cordova (the hottest boy in eight grade) came over and asked her if she was looking for the diamond. She didn't want to answer but she told him yes. The two of them went to the police station they were looking for the Murphy diamond report because his father was the chief police officer. While they were looking through the files his father walked in and wanted to know what they were doing. Hero lied to him. While they were there Officer Cordova said that Mrs. Roth was Mr. Murphy's ex-wife. Hero was mad at Mrs. Roth because she thought she lied to her, the next day she yelled at Mrs. Roth.
Hero was drawing the bird on the back of the necklace and her dad saw her. He thought she was researching Anna Boleyn. The bird was actually a falcon and he was holding a staff, there was a crown on his head. Anna was Henry VIII wife, and the mother of Queen Elizabeth I.
A week later she went to her house and apologized. Hero told Mrs. Roth about Anna Boleyn, Edward de Vere, and Shakespeare. Together they concluded that Anna Boleyn was Edward's grandmother, and he didn't want any one to know he was the real Shakespeare because his mother Elizabeth I was his mother. Right around the time nine months before he was born, elizabeth disappeared. This must have meant Anna gave Elizabeth the necklace right before she was killed. So she gave the necklace to Edward and he passed it down and eventually Eleanor got it.
The next day at school a first grader who knew Hero walked up to her and said her name was written in the boys bathroom. When she was at Mrs. Roth's house with Danny and (obviously) Mrs. Roth. She told them about the boys bathroom incident. Danny said he was going to bring spray paint into the bathroom and cover the wall. Then when they were eating Hero said something about the note, that Danny didn't know about. So they showed him the poem and he thought the diamond was in a light. The lights in there house were big and there was enough room to hold a diamond. The next day at school the principal had to talk to Hero because the boys bathroom was spray painted black. She felt bad that Hero was bullied, and all of the teachers had to speak to the students about why bulling is wrong. The girl who started the dog thing invited Hero over. But she couldn't go. Hero said she would come over another time.
On that Friday after her parents went to a Maxwell party Danny came over and they looked for the diamond. They looked in all of the lights and didn't find it. Hero and Danny even broke Beatrice's light fixture. They were about to give up and they walked out on to the porch. Danny asked if she could turn on the light and she said that they couldn't find the light switch. So they took down the fixture and found the diamond. Danny took it home.
The next afternoon Hero wanted to give the diamond to Mrs. Roth. But Danny sent it to his mom in L.A. He felt very ashamed because he didn't know Mrs. Roth had the necklace. She said it was O.K. Then she told them about herself and Mr. Murphy. They had an adopted daughter and when she was seventeen she ran away. That's why they got a divorce. Mr. Murphy still loved Mrs. Roth so he wanted to be neighbors. Eleanor and Mrs. Roth became very good friends. She should them a picture of Anna. Danny said that was his mom. At first they didn't get it but the two of them looked related. Mrs. Roth was Danny's grandmother. Anna sent the diamond back and Mrs. Roth kept it.
Hero's father wanted to know what happened to the light. Hero said she was jumping on the bed and she broke it.
This book was very good. I read all of it yesterday. Once I started it I couldn't put it down. Once I saw the poem Mr. Murphy gave Mrs. Roth I knew that the diamond was in a light and I was right. I thought it was unrealistic that Danny didn't know what the rest of the letter said. This is my second favorite book. The Mystery of the Third Lucretia is my favorite.
Neil Menghani Touch the Top of the World Erik Weihenmayer 175-250 5/5/09
Erik and Ellen get married on Mt. Kilamanjaro, and for their honeymoon, they decide to climb it. It is very steep and makes Ellen quesy near the summit, so she dedcides to go back down. Since she is going, Erik's dad goes down with her (he was on the journey with them). For a second, Erik thinks of backing down, but changes his mind. When he reaches the top, him and his guide run down the other side really fast (how would a blind man see where he was going and wouldn't it be to steep to run down? these are all unanswered questions).
After Erik can check two mountains off the list, he decides to climb a third bigone. El Capitan (El Cap). However, this is a very tricky mountain. You can't just go up El Cap and be done with it. There is a guy named Hans who teaches Erik how to aid climb. It is when you take a peice of gear (he carries many sizes), and you put it in the huge crack running up the mountain you're climbing. After he knew this, Erik took many practice climbs like the Leaning Tower (it's a mountain too), and Canyon's Peak. After a few practice climbs, Erik was ready to try El Cap.
But I stopped before I got to the part where he started climbing.
This book is amazing!. I just don't understand how it's possible for a blind man to climb a mountain. I can't wait to get to the part where he climbs Everest!
P.S. Jordana, yours may be the longest (even though I still don't think it is), I was the first one to "write a longest blog". I set the first record and records are set to be broken.

Indigo's Star Alex Chapter 1 - Chapter ? (i dont remember what chapter... maybe 5)
Indigo Casson had been sick with the flu for a long time, but finally he is well enough to go back to school. Rose, his little sister says that while Indigo was in school last year, he had been picked on by the Gang. Everybody at his school had said that he was not sick but afraid of the gang, and that was why he didn't come back the next year. Rose has gotten new glasses, because her father, Bill Casson says that she needs them. Rose absolutley hates them, so she hides them in the kitchen cabinet and doesn't wear them to school. The day before school starts, Indigo and Rose go outside, lay on the grass, and look at the stars. Rose says that she can see the stars better with her glasses on. (She starts calling them "my star - looking glasses") When Indigo goes back to school he almost forgets what to do and where to go. Then he remebers to go to the boys locker room, to change for gym. While he's in there, the Gang comes in, and starts picking on him. Then another boy, whom Indigo learns to know is Tom, comes in. He starts bouncing a rubber ball on the ground, and he begins to annoy the Gang. The gang leader turns to his "back-up", as he calls them, and tells them that they won't pick on Indigo, but Tom. They made Tom the new "victim", but Tom doesn't seem to mind. Indigo begins to hang out with Tom, and finds out that Tom's mom is a bear tamer for Yellowstone National Park, and his father is an astronaut. (Tom had come to visit his grandmother in England) (That's where this story takes place, England)
The teachers at school dont like Tom because his bounces his rubber ball on the floor during their classes, and they dont have enough sense to confiscate it. So they send Tom out of the room, but he doesn't mind. one day, Tom gets beat up by the Gang, and goes outside, in the rain, to throw up. Indigo goes with him, but comes inside when a teacher calls him in. At the end of class, Indigo goes back outside, and Tom had left. So, Indigo and his sister Rose go to Tom's home after school and bring the jacket and bookbag that he left at school. There, they hear Tom playing his guitar on his grandmother's home's roof.
Eckels wanted to go on a safari in the past. He wanted to shoot a T-Rex. He was not allowed to shoot anything except the T-Rex. He is told to listen to the guide and stay one the path. If he didn't something might happen to the present time. They go on the safari and Eckels learns that if he kills anything in history the rest of the world will suffer. He finally gets to the T-Rex and "chickens out" he runs of the path back to the time machine. When the rest of the men come back, the guide is mad because he thinks Eckels stepped off the path. (He denies it!!) So the guide makes him take out all of the bullets, from the dinosaur, that they shot. When he gets back he releases he stepped on a butterfly and the whole world changed.
I don't think that one butterfly, mouse, or anything else could change the future. If they killed a mouse that would be the same thing as a mouse dying. I think the story was O.K. I didn't think it was exciting and I don't like blood, so the part about the T-Rex and the blood kinda creeped me out.
The begining was about this guy trapped in a missile silo . He was totolly unimportant. I don't even know why they had that part. probably becuase he was about to launch all of them at the end of the chapter.
It went to where they were on top of the mountain. It was the two elves and the knight. They had both defeated their foes but the knight was dying becuase she fought a gigantic lizard-demon that was 8 feet tall with huge claws. They had to put her unconcious so they could leave her at a friends house. Later on the friends house gets destroyed by a 18- foot tall demon.
The male elf puts the city in the Loden elfstone from the mountain to save all of them. The demon army attacked after this so they had to flee. While they were escaping these flying demons swooped down and lifted him away. He threw the elfstones to the ground though just in time. They bring him to the master demon who is trying to kill Hawk (The Gypsy Morph).
Th Ghosts find Hawk and Tessa and htye get them up to speed on everything that happened. Tessa revealed that she was pregnant and everyone was happy :-). They then had to drive through the militia camp reqally fast in their AV (and an 8-year-old is driving). They then lose a member but find her again. Then the gigantic 18-foot demon appears and the Gypsy Morph turns them invisible to save them.
Dancing like the stars Emily Mae Kaplitz This story was about a school who competes in a dance, ballroom, competition this school got in the seami finals in tango but lost. all the dancers said that they did not think they would like dance but after their first class they loved it this story was a nice story but i did not like it much
Neil Menghani Tough the Top of the World Erik Weihenmayer 250-300 5/6/09
In this part, Erik's team continues to climb El Capitan. It is Erik's hardest climb ever. One of his climbing partners named Sam says he is jealous because his dad was never proud of him. When Erik's dad watched Erik's whole climb, Sam says Erik's dad watching them is the second best thing. At the summit, Erik meets Ellen, and they decide to go to a restaurant. Then, they meet a guy named Warding who was the first one to climb El Cap. At this point in Erik's life, he has climbed three of the tallest mountains of each continent.
Next, Erik decides to climb Aconcagua in Argentina, the tallest mountain of South America. When climbing it, many things happen. Another climbing partner named Chris says something funny called positive pessimism (i.e. it may be cold, but at least it's windy; it may be rocky, but at least there is a hole in my mattress; and the funniest of all said by Erik: you may be clumsy, but at least you're stupid). Another thing that happens on Mount Aconcagua is that Jeff, another climbing partner, takes four anticeptents on the break day, but Chris decides that they will climb that day. Jeff is half asleep all day, and Erik saves his life, by not letting him sleep. If he sleeps at that altitude after taking four anticeptents, he won't breathe again. Anyway, after they summit Aconcagua, Erik's eye almost explodes (I don't know why. Probably because he is blind and he has some eye disease).
I really like this book. I can't wait until his climb on Everest. That will be very interesting. What I still don't understand is how a blind man can write so well!
Neil Menghani A Sound of Thunder The Whole Story 5/7/09
This story is about a cowardly hunter named Eckels in 2055. In the beginning of the story he mentions a presidential election with a guy named Keith winning. Then, Eckels spends ten-thousand dollars on a Time-Travelling safari that goes back in time. There is a trail which you are supposed to go on, shoot a T-Rex, and go back in the time machine. However, when the T-Rex comes, Eckels goes off the traill even after the tour guide, Travis saying not to five times. Travis thinks that by killing one tiny thing, you could be terminating a whole species, and therefore changing all of history. After Eckels goes off the track and then back into the time machine, the other hunters kill the T-Rex and come back in the time machine. They go forward in time again, and when they reach, they realize that the other candidate of the earlier election, Deutsher, won the election because Eckels stepped on a butterfly (I didn't quite get that). Then, Travis shoots him for changing the future.
This was the only book that Mr. J assigned that I couldn't put down. It was really interesting except for the fact that the president changed because of a tiny butterfly!
This story is about a man hat gpes back in time to kill a T-Rex. He gets scared at the last minute and he runs. He accidentally kills a butterfly, so when they reture\n every word is speeled wierd. The president also was not elected. Instead it was the bad president. The tour guide of th hun shoots the main character after that.
I think this stry was the most interesting one we have read all year. I think this is mainly because it presensts more of a sense of action.
The mostly True Adventures of Homer P. Figg By Rodman Philbrick Mohammad Kazmi Chapter 1-7
Homer and his older brother Harold's dad and mother die and their luck urns bad to worse. They get taken in by Sqinton Leach, who is described to be the meanest man in maine. Homer is messen around on the farm, and not doing what hes supposed to. He talks back to sqinton and he is about to slap him and Harold gets his hand and throws him the mud. They both run and hide in the barn. sqinton gets a bunch of men to look for them. They go around with pitch forks stabbing the floorboarda and they come out. Squinton makes Harold go in the army or die for the punish,ent for this behavior, even though he is a minor, squinton says hes 21. Homer feels betrayed and sad that he has no one. He runs away looking for his brother and saving him from the army. He takes squintons horse and hides under a tree and two murders find him spying on them and think the judge sent him. This novel takes place during enslavry and segragtion.
This book is about a girl, Julia who has a friend named Patrick. Julia is Korean and Patrick is white, and they are n a group called WGGL (I forget what it stands for) WGGL sounds like wiggle, so they call it the Wiggle club. They have to think of a project to do for the club, annd Julia mom suggests they raise silkworms. Julia thinks it's too Koreran to raise silkworms, but Patrick doesn't realize that she doesn't like the idea, and starts to research it. He finds out that mulberry trees aren't very common in their area, so they have to put up flyers for a Mulberry tree. QWhen they finally find a Mulberry tree, they also find that the man who owns it is black... Julia's mother doesn't like black people. So her mother isn't happy with Julia going to his house to the leaves. Then, Patrick and Julia order the worms, and it takes two weeks for them to come. Then, it takes two more weeks for the eggs to hatch. The kids tape the worms everyday, and take four pictures each day too.
I like this book so far, even though it's kind of slow-going.
Te mostly true adventures of Homer P. Figg By Mohammad Kazmi I read 3 long chapters The two murders squint and smelt still investigat Homer. He tells them a lie, how his parents are visiting queen elizebeth and his dad has been called to cut down 10 trees. (and they believe him)They have a man with a bag over his head, they get a knife and open the bag. He's black and they tell him to them where the slaves are. They are about to kill him and Homer says he'll be nothing to you if hes dead, and they agree. They tell Homer to go to Mr. Brewster's houde. A rich man who has slaves and a lot of money. They tell him he gives poor kids a nice meal and tells them his secrets. He is suppose to rn away and tell them his secrets. He goes in and Mrs. Brewster gives him a nice meal and asks where hes from. He says smelt, and is happy he hasnt said stink.(shes never heard of this). Then Mr Brewster comes and talks to him and takes im to the gold mine in his basement. Then to the Backward. He says there is no such place as smelt. He says there are two men named stink, and smelt who have tried to spy on me for the longest time. Homer wants to say something, but the words are taken from his lips.
Project Mulberry Alexandra Chapter 7 - End (Chapter 16)
julia and patrick have a fight because when patrickk tells her that he has worm-phobia, she gets mad at him because if he hadn't wanted to do the project, why didn't he just tell her that? also, in the beginning, she hadn't wanted to do the project, so they could have done something else besides raising silkworms. They also get mad at eachother because Julia tells Patrick that she thought the project was too Korean, and finds out that you have to kill the worms to get the silk. She gets really upset, and doesn't talk to Patrick for a couple days. Then Patrick sends an email to Julia, showing her the Susan B. Anthony (who was american, he emphasises) had raised silkworms. After that, they begin to talk again, and They boil the worms to get the silk. They enter the fair with videos, pictures, and an embroidered picture of the silkworms. They win second place.
I liked this book, although it was a little slow-going. It was kind of hard to read because of some run-ons and a lot of commas.
Haddon Antonucci The Sun rose wearily into the sky. John’s alarm went off with its signature loud groaning sound. He got out of his bed and went straight downstairs. He slept in his clothes, because it was his only pair. He made his usual breakfast, one piece of toast and some milk. He held his nose as he gulped down the milk and yelled to his mom, “Hey mom, I’m heading to school.” In response he heard a groaning sound.
He picked up his ragged 5 year-old backpack and headed out the door. He stood in front of his house for about 15 minutes until the bus arrived. He noticed whispered conversations about him as he walked by the rows of seats. He took his usual seat, next to his best friend Michael. “Hi Michael,” said John.
“Hi John. Did you hear about this disease that’s going around?” responded Michael.
John shook his head no and said, “No, I haven’t. Does anyone know where it came from and what is it supposed to do to you?”
“It supposedly came from a Pharmaceutical testing lab; they were trying to make a cure for Swine Flu, and it created some sort of mutant strain that makes strips of flesh rot away, and it gives you radical emotions, like you might really like someone one minute, and the next you want to kill them. It also is supposed to disable your ability to speak for a time.”
John thought about this briefly for a second and thought about how his mother had just groaned at him instead of saying something to him earlier when he was leaving.
They arrived at school and John learned that he had a substitute because his teacher was out with the disease. John’s day at school was uneventful, other than a boy jumping on his desk and shouting at the top of his lungs in the middle of class. It ended up that he had the disease to.
When John returned home he found his home more trashed than usual. Broken glass, bottles lay on the floor, next to the half-eaten rats that inhabited his home. He walked carefully through examining everything. The TV had a gaping hole in the screen, and the remaining of the TV was covered with blood. The tiny sofa had all of the contents ripped out of it, bits of cotton and wood were strewn everywhere.
John walked up the steps, hearing a wheezing sound coming from his mother’s bedroom. He walked into it, only to see his mother on her bed, in her blood-soaked night-gown begin laughing hysterically. She then turned towards him, with a big grin on her face. “Hello Johnathan,” she said with a cracked grin. She began walking toward him with a long knife. He slowly backed away and then turned around a sprinted down the steps. He grabbed a phone, dialed 911, and dashed out of the house as fast as he could. this is my story
I stared at the big arch I wondered if it would actually work. My 50 year old professor, Cornelius and I had built a time machine that he said would worke. We were about to go through it and I was scared out of my mind. All of the movies I had seen about time travel always ended horribly. I looked at the calender and it said May 2010. Cornelius had been in trouble with the law and the economy was worse than the great depression. America was also not in the best of relations with China and that made everyone more scared. So he built a time travel machine so we could leave and go to the year 2070. “All right Ricky lets go.” said my proffesor. He flipped the switch and the arch started to have a big purple corcle appeared around it. This can’t be happening, this can’t be happening, this can’t be happining I kept thinking. Then I stepped through the portal.
The light overwhelmed me and I fell to the gound. I heard my professor yell “You’re still in one piec- Oh… My… God.” Ricky get up and look around. I stood up and looked around. “Cornelius i- i- is this America?” Cornelius looked at me, “I do belive that would be the case. This can’t be real. I said. What the hell happened?! Well this looks like were at the same place we were, Vineland, New Jersey but everything changed. Well yes Cornelius I can see that but this wouldn’t happen by animals.” I kept looking around to try and take in all of what ever happened. “Well Ricky it would appear as though the earth stopped spinning. That in trn caused all of this side to heat up and the other side to cool down. Just like mercury. Then I yelled, “IS THERE ANYBODY WHO IS STILL ALIVE! Yes ricky just look left. Ok I don’t need your sarcasm. I replied. Well, He said, I guess we should start walking and try to find anything that’s alive. SO we walked. And we walked. We walked untill we couldn’t walk anymore. “Well Ricky it seems like were doomed. Our faces will melt and or burn off our skin and we’ll die. Then I added, But sir if the planet stopped moving wouldn’t it be very hot? Well yes Ricky it would what is your point? Well sir my watchomometer say its only 75 degrees. If that be the case then I don’t think the world stopped spinning.”
After that we slept for a couple hours. We ware awakened by a giant ant that came out of a tunnel. “God Cornelius run!” Then we made a break for it. I got out my 9mm and fired at it. I broke off its antenna and it spit out fire. Then I could aim and I shot its head. “Thank god you brought that pistol Ricky. We would have been and food withought it.” Then Cornelius walked over to the ant and examened it. It was 12 feet long and 5 feet wide. It was also capable of breathing fire. After walking for 5 more hours we came across a town with children. Many many children. They also seemed extremely happy to be alive for this hell on earth. One boy about ten years old came up to me and screamed “I’M SO HAPPY TO BE ALIVE HERE IN AREFU! Ok kid calm down now are there any adults I can talk to here. YES THERE ARE. THEY ARE IN THE HOUSE!” Then he pointed to the only house still standing. Cornelius then said, “Thank you young man now well be on out way before we catch what you have.” When we went inside we saw three adults, two women and one man. They were as happy as the kids. They offered us dinner but we declined. Then they turned unhappy and the man started to punch Cornelius. I wasn’t very happy about that so I kicked his leg. The two women screamed and tried to punch me too.
The book started with the queen's husband, who is a magician, tells her that their daughter Medea, who he banished into the shadow realm was till alive, This was a big deal becuase if you could survive the shadow realm thatn you were really powerfu. She is also the grandaughter of the ruler of the bad guys, Cronus. To prove herself that she is worthy of Cronus, she has to face her grandfather's 6 disciples. She turns into a dragon and then faces them. They turn her back to her human form, and they turn her into ice. She becomes very hot though, which melts the ice, she then tunrs herslef into her grandfather, which tricks them. She killed the disciples with a spell.
The story then goes to the princess of the cats playing a game with the desert prince and the prince of Icemark. They both were trying to capture the other. This is where I stopped reading.
The author is very descriptive. I really like the way that they write the book.
Cujo is a book about a dog who has rabies named Cujo. There was a man in a town who was a homicidal freak killer. He killed about ten people and then cut their bodies up. When the police finally cought him they killed him. Now he came back, In dog form. Cujo was this man, except a dog who has rabies and doesn't use a knive to kill people but his teeth and claws. Now a little boy named Tad is seeing things in his closet. He sees monsters but when he yells for his parents to come help the monster goes away.

He asks Mr.Brewster for a gun(but he says no). He says you have to choose it's eaither a yess or a no. He runs out the the house not nkowing what to do. Smelt is in the bushes waiting, he asks him where te slaves are hidden. Homer says they hidden in the tool shed. Then smelt says all thhere is in there is dirt. Homer says it's in the dirt. Smelt doesn't believe him so he gets stink(who has "tied up the man with the bag over his head Fetus. THey go and in the backyard in front of the toolshed. Out of nowwhere comes Fetus with a rod and hits Smelt in the head. Then him and Stink fight and Fetus also knocks him out. They both tie him up. Homer is very happy Fetus saved him, and he said just returning the favor. Then Fetus takes all the slaves in wagons and heads off to the border, where they can free. Homer sleeps in Mr. Wilsons confey bed, and eats delicious pancakes. Mr WIlson asks him hes gonna stay or not then he says no. Mr Wilson keeps his horse and gives him a train ticket to where his brother is exactly at. He doesn't want him to go alone so he sends along Mr. Willow a rondom guy. They go to the trainstation and hop on. The get off there next stop and a girl is walking and tripps and Mr Willow catches her. Then her brother comes and thax him for saving his sister. THey go have a bite to eat. Mr Willow is really stupid, and him and Miss nibly(the sister) have chemistry. ITs almost time to board and they all come to the train station and they are about to board and Mr Willow looks and shes not there
Neil Menghani Mysterious Benedict Society Trenton Lee Stewart Finished (1-485) 5/17/09
This book is about orphans looking for "special oppurtunities". They get the oppurtunites because they pass a group of tests made by a strange man with narcolepsy (Mr. Benedict). Mr. Benedict wants these children to become spies and solve a mission. They go to a school owned by a man named Ledroptha Curtain. The four children (Reynard "Reynie" Muldoon who is nice and calm, George "Sticky" Washington who is a scaredy-cat, Constance "Connie" Contraire who is always grouchy and stubborn, and Kate who always has her bucket handy with precious things in it) get into a lot of trouble, and find out about a machine called a Whisperer. This machine was made by Ledroptha Curtain. The way it worked was it asked children (the Messengers at Mr. Curtain's school) to repeat phrases and sent these phrases to people's minds without them knowing. Only people with a love of truth couldn't resist the Messages. The Whisperer could also get rid of "bad memories". Mr. Curtain made the Whisperer so he could become famous. However, in the end, the children who eventually name themselves the Mysterious Benedict Society, manage to shut down the machine because Contraire resists the Whisperer and confuses it.
Finally, Mr. Benedict, who looks and sounds exactly like Mr. Curtain, tells the confused machine to shut down. Then, they all end up happily ever after. Reynie Muldoon is adopted by his favorite person, Ms. Perumal. Sticky is taken back to his parents who he ran away from. Constance, who everyone finds out is only two years old, is adopted by Mr. Benedict. And Kate finds her long lost father who lost his memory to Mr. Curtain's Whisperer.
I loved this book. I skipped a lot of little details. The book may seem confusing if you read this blog, but if you read the book you will understand how truly interesting this novel is. Trenton Lee Stewart is a great author and I cant wait to read the second book.
Mrs. Rachel goes to Marilla Cuthbert's home to find out where Matthew Cuthburt is going. Marilla says he is going to the train station to pick up a boy that another lady adopted for the Cuthberts. Mrs. Rachel thinks this is outrageous and says that marilla can't handle a boy. She threatens them with stories of adopted boys burning down houses. Marilla says that the woman picked out a good boy, nd that she can handle a boy. she needs the boy to help Matthew on the farmer, because he was getting old. When matthew gets to the station, he finds only a girl there. he asks the station manager if there were a boy around, but he says that a lady dropped off the girl, and put her into his care for a man to come by and take her. So, Matthew takes the girl, whom he finds to be Anne Shirley back to Green Gables, where Marilla and he lives. While going home, Anne talks a lot and tells matthew that she loves to imagine things prettier, but she cant imagine her red hair away, which is why a day can never be perfect because she hates her red hair. when they get to Green gables, Anne has already re-named Miller's Lake to The lake of Shining Waters, and The Forest (which I can't remember what she re-names it, but she does) When marilla sees that Matthew has brought home a girl instead of a boy, she is "appauled"
I love this book. The author really tells you what things look like with a lot of detail and has Anna talk a lot, and I like what she has to say, usually.
Meet Julie Emily This book is about a girl who's parents are devorsed she moves and gose to a diffrent school. then she hates her new school.she is mad at the gym teacherbecause he dose not let her go on the boys basket ball teamshe gets mad and makes a probusition for people to sighn at the end she is alowed to play on the team. i don't think i like this bookbecause it dpse not relate to me
Well Will, Hoarace, and Evelyan are folling the wargals. when the wargals came to theirr destinatoin the three of them hid behind a bush. when they looked over the peak they saw people being beat for not build this bridge for Moragrath (the evil guy) so his soilders could cross between mountains. when Will saw this he had rembered Halt (his master/teacher) stole some plans from Moragrath and rembered nothing about a bridge. they Hoaace pointed out that they were building a tunnel threw the mountain.
this part of the book was kind of exciting. i mean they only saw people getting beat while a building a bridge and Moragrath might have a easier way to win the war.
this bookis a intresting book about caporican anderson and his grandmother rain who are hippes who one day rain fell out of a tree while picking plums cap drove her to the hospital. the police caught him because hes only 13 aparently rain eventually died and cap had to go to school and be normal kid. he has no idea what cell rhones ipods and starbucks are and suprisingly he was electedd class president

I left off where everyone is entering the dining hall. tHey all have a party than the wolf king's daughter is told that she is not allowed to go into the forest on a cmapjng trip. She complains, and her parents say she needs a tudor. The queen's old tudor becomes hers, and he sends her on an assignment into the woods for two days on a trip classifying animals and plants.
Meanwhile in the shadowlands, medea is visited by Cronus. He is angerred for her destoying his disciples, she did not have to do that. He spares her though. H e tells her that it s a problem that she hates her brother so much. She said the he hated, but he said that he hates in abstract. Thios is where I ended.
I think the book is really good becuase it helps you form a picture in your head really well.
Well last time i told you Will, Hoarace, and Evalyn found a bridge being built in between two moutains and a tunnel. well Will had found a man in the tunnel who was affraid of the sun or something like th and told Will to put him back into the tunnel and Will did, but at nitgh he went in the tunnel seeing where it ended up. When he got to the end of the tunnel he saw a light, but it wasn't moonlight it was stronger than that. When he look through the hole it went into Moragraths castle. And in the room it ended up in was where Skanians a group of people who are fighting with Moragrath, are eating in the dinning room talking about the war.
i thought these chapters of the book were interesing because you learned more about the war and Will almost got peed on.
cap was still really a nobody untill somthing happend to his teacher so he drove a school bus to the hospital but he was stoped by the police. all the kids were fasanated by the story they all thought cap was a hero. he started a tie die class in art ,had some true followers to meditate with him, played the gutair and played classic songs in music and got somekids to join in sining with him, and did tai chi classes in the front of the school, he also planes to have a awsome halloween dance with djs and ovens to make your own pizzas! also back at the house with sophie cap learns about hair care products and t&t a popualr tenn sopopra he and sophie watch. it was sophies dad whos divorcide came and gave here a dimond braclet engraved but he left unexpectedly with it and cruched sophie. so when cap went to the bank with his teacher to get a check book to pay for the dance he stopped in the jewlery store got the same braclet and engraved the same words in it put in a evolope and put in the mail for sophie she was thrilled
i think cap is a great president with the progress on the dance and all the clubs he started plus making a girl happy then a lepercon with gold
This book is about a family that lives in a magical world. The father, Silas heap one day goes out into the forest in search of herbs for their new born baby septemus. He finds a smaller baby girl lying in the forest. He takes her home and cares for he. When he gets home, he realizes that septemus "died" because the nurse said so. The take care of the babys (they have 4 other babys) for nine years. On day, the mother goes out and finds out that that the queen died the exact day they found the girl in the forest. This means that girl was the princess

Dusty begins to trust the weird kid. He's accused of many thing like rape .But dusty knows that he forgets everything he does and would never rape anyone. When the news gets out that dusty talks to the boy, dusty runs out of school. She got tired of the people accusing her. She finds people stalking her and they chase her to an rv which happens to be amanda's. Amanda's mom keeps her hidden but eventually she's revealed. The boy helps her but she when she sneaks up on him in a train to run, he got scared and knocked her uncounsious by his heat. Later, he cme to the hospital to apologize and she finally sees his figure. When she gets better, she figure out that her room is trashed. Then , the hunter for the boy go to her house and she hides. The boy saved her by playing his ocaarnia so the people would chase him instead. Dusty rescueshim The boy drives a little and tell dusty to get out . Then he drives into a river. A few days later, she finds out that his body wasn' found. But her run-away brother josh, was.
This book was really good because it had a lot of dialouge. It was different and a cliff hanger. You never know hat happens to the boy. This book was also kind of depressing at the end because she finds out her brother committed suicide after her life long search for him.
The story starts out with Kendra helping out with daycare at her school. She is feeling in these bozes this guy is showing her and she gets pricked by something. He said he thought he had taken it out he thought, and he left. She went into his office later becuase he called her there. Sh then came face-to-face with herself, and the man mugged her. She finds herself on the estate of an lectoblix, someone that can drain youth from others.
Back at home Kendra's brother notices that his sister is acting wierd. The gaurds that were placed on them check the mail that she sent out, and it ended up being a letter sending info to the enemy. They ask her questions but the copy commits suicide by drinking poison. This is where I left off.
I love this Auhtor's style of writing. He really captures you in the book. He also gives a goo dpicture in your head. This is one of my favortie authors.
Cujo Finished Caleb Tad and his Mom, Donna decide to have a picnic one day. But the mom needs to stop at her friends house before. When Donna gets there she notices something odd. There is no car in the driveway, the garage is open, and the froon door is open too. Thats when Cujo, a 200 pound 4 feet long rabid saint bernard jumped from the open garage and tried to attack Donna. Donna wasn't in shock and was able dodge Cujos jump attack. Cujo slid and tried do attack Donna again but donna sat down in her car and slammed the door shut. After 2 days withought food or water, insida a 104 degree car Donna and Tad were still alive. Thats when a polica officer went to go check the house. When he stepped out of his police car Cujo bit a hole in his stomach. The police officers ofgan fell out as he tried to get his pistol out. Then the dog jumped ontop of the police officer and he dropped his gun. Cujo killed the police officer. Then Donna got out and got a wooden baseball bat from the lawn and tried to hit Cujo. After three strikes to the head tha bat broke, but Cuja was still alive. He knocked Donna down and tried to bite her neck, when Donna took the splintery end of the bat and stuck it in Cujos eye. Cujo then died.
Cujo is one of the best books I have read. It was very interesting and i do reccomend it. I think Donna just should have gotten the bat earlyer on and hit Cujo. She had to wait untill sha and Tad were on the verge of Death.
The Graveyard book 1-80 Caleb This book is about a boy who is raised in a graveyard with immortals. (I would call them zombies but they aren't ugly and thay don't eat flesh) The boy is there because his mom, dad, and older sibinling were all murdered by a man named Jack. Jack planned to kill the baby but the baby got away before he could. The baby walked up a hill to the graveyard where he was found by Mr. and Mrs.Owens. They brought him back to the graveyard where he was allowed to live. There the baby was named Nobody Owens. Nobody, when he was six met a girl who was very nice. Eventually they became good friends and hung out every day.
So far this is a very good book. It's interesting and exciting. I don't know how a six month old baby was able to walk up a hill but who am i to judge? It is an exciting book and i reccomend it to anyone.

so far this book is very boring I'm not shore if i like it or not. I read this book when I was in 3rd grade and liked it but maybe I want like it this year because I'm older.

In this section, Dustfinger and Farid went to Capricorn's village and talked to a woman named Rita. She didn't like Capricorn and she wanted to run away. Dustfinger and Farid still didn't know that Meggie and Fenoglio were captured. Rita told them that Magpie
( Capricorn's mother ) had the Basta's keys. That would make it harder for them to get the keys. Mo and Elinor ( who didn't want to be returning ) went to find Meggie and Fenoglio. He knew they were there because Basta scratched his name into the table. Dustfinger and Farid found them entering the village and stopped them. Mo blamed Dustfinger for what happened to Meggie. He said it was not his faut ( it wasn't. ) Meanwhile Capricorn doesn't belive that Fenoglio wrote Inkheart. He is trying to prove it by telling thing in the book that were unmentioned. Capricorn wanted to kill Fenoglio but he said if he died they would die to. Capricorn was intimidated. He lcked the two up in Farids old "cell".
This book is very good. I love the authors creativity. Elinor is a funny character because she is always complaining and cursing. She is unhappy about being in Capricorn's village. I would never have guessed that Basta takes them back to the village. Besides for the magic, the book is very unrealistic.

This bbook is about a post-apocalyptic wasteland. It focuses around a man who fights the demons and is looking for the one that kills his family. IT also focuses around a group of children. A rival group of theirs has a sick person and they are trying to find some pentelen to help her. They found a mutant human lizard and a group of monsters that were killed by something. The story then changes to the demon that killed the man's family. HE is attacking a city in search for a person with emmnse magical abiltiy. He sends his right man hand to do the job and then you go back to Logan (The man). Logan is in the woods and is told by an Indian that there is a person called the Gypsy Morph who can change forms. That person alone has the power to save humanity.

The mysterious Benedict Society begins like this. Mr. Benedict goes out while looking for a mysterious plant called Duskwort. Mr. Benedict believed that Duskwort could cure his disease called Narcolepsy. And on his way to find the Duskwort, he left a series of clue to the children like a scavenger hunt to find him. He did this because it was the Mysterious Benedict Society’s 1 year anniversary. But where Mr. Benedict finds the Duskwort he gets captured by his evil twin brother. His brother also wants the Duskwort because one piece of Duskwort has enough power to put a whole village to sleep. The kids hear about this news from bird mail that was asking for something they didn’t even know of in return. The kids sneaked out a set of on a journey following the clues Mr. Benedict set out for them and found him. He was asleep and when they escaped they had o put him on a carrier and carry him. I liked this book a lot. The evil twin thing was kind of a cliché, but if you read the story, it’ll be clear that there was much more to it than the evil twin thing. Overall this book was better than the first and I hope a new one will come out soon.

This book so far is about a girl that’s home alone. Her mother walks out on her dad so her dad isn’t home. He’s on a date. While she’s at home, she gets a phone call with a boy saying “I’m dying”. She doesn’t believe him at first but the background voice is so real that she knows he’s telling the truth. A weird thing about this boy is that he could guess her name very closely and used her brother that went missing’s name as his nickname because he didn’t have a name. She figured out that this boy was very close to her home so she ran outside into a park that was closed. She saw footprints in the snow which was still pouring so she knew that someone came only a little while ago. She got to the end of the foot prints and they just stopped. Then two people came with pittbulls and captured her to question her. She broke free, climbed a few fences, then ran back home. She made it before her dad came home.

After Dusty’s dad came home they talked about how his date went. Her mom left her so her dad was having trouble in his life. He was crying a little. After that, dusty went to sleep. She had a flashback dream of what happened to her that night. When she woke up next morning she ate breakfast with her dad. In the middle of breakfast her dad got a phone call. Then when her dad left, she got a txt to go to a restaurant to talk to her friend about what happened. When her dad came back, he told her he got a job offer, they were really happy. Her dad drove her to the restaurant and she discovered that almost everybody knew about what happened because of big Mac. Then she gets a call from the kid last night.
I liked this book because it is different. It has a lot of dialogue too. Almost all of it is dialogue.

This story was about a girl who was born with Ollier's disease. This disease made her right leg shorter then her left. As she grew she was having a hard time walking so her parents took her to a special Doctor.She had to get a lot of surgeries on the girl.she had to travel 1000 miles for this surgery. she also had to have physical therapy. when she got the brace she had on off, she was very happy.

When I got back toi reading the girl was trying to get children out of the compound and to safety. She has to face a 7;5 foot tall demon though. She beat it by blasting fire in its face and then have staris falling on it. Later you find out that the demon is still alive and that she is hunting the girl down then.
You then go to the Ghosts and they are looking for purifiers for their water. They get to the warehouse and then Candle senses an evil presence. Panther takes it even though everyone is scared. I think thqat the evil presence was the demon. Hawk, the leader of the ghosts, meets up with a girl from the compund and gets the Peneten for Persia, who is from a rival gang.
There is also an elf who is in the chosen, who garuds the magic tree which guards the elves from demons. He is out inspecting the tree when it begins to talk to him. This is amazing becuase the tree never talks to anyone. He goes to tell the king but has to wait 2 hours becuase the boys cousin already told the king. She said thea the tree said something to her but she did no0t believe it. The tree had said that they must find the elfstones so that they can hold the tree in it and move its location.
I think this is a really good book. It feels good to have a book i like again becuase I was stuck on my last book for a long time. I think the book lets you guess on a lot of stuff and it is surprsing.

Okay, in the beginning of Erik's life, he is in a car with his dad coming home from his brother's basketball game, when his dad notices his eyes wavering. He takes Erik to the eye doctor, and finds out he has a disease, and by high school, he will be completely blind. Erik reads with thick glasses and loses sight in his left eye completely. He was getting frustrated that he couldn't do things like basketball and dirt-bike riding. However, he decided his goal in life would be to become better at what he could do. when he got to high school he did lose his vision, and went to a camp with blind people. He met people just like him, an found a girl that he built a strong relationship with. THen, when he came back to high school, he was not doing well. He bumped into walls and doors. However, he found something he was "good" at. Wrestling (he beat one person who was weaker than him). A few years later, he developed an interest in rock climbing. In college, he found a girl named Ellen, who he liked. Erik decided to marry her after a fewq months.
Erik made a climbing team, and climbed Mount McKinley (the tallest mountain in North America). Erik was very confident then; maybe overconfident. He made a new goal; to be the first blind man to climb the tallest mountain of all seven continents. Soon it was time for his and Ellen's wedding. THe decided to get married half way up Mt. Kilamanjaro. That is where I stopped.
I really like this book, because it is one of my only nonfiction books. It is also very interesting. I really don't understand how it is possible for him to climb Mount Everest (soon to come).

In this section, Capricorn moved Meggie and Fenogio into his house, Meggie tried to escape twice but the guards caught her both time. She was reading Darius' book (Peter Pan) and Tinker Bell flew out! Before Meggie and Fenogio could hide Tinker Bell Basta came and found her. He took her away and put her in a coffee mug because he thought it was good luck. The the Magpie wanted to test Meggie's skills and made her read the tin soldier, and the tin soldier came out of the book. Meanwhile Dustfinger and Resa (Meggie's Mom) were locked up and Meggie was going to read the Shadow out of Inkheaart. The Shadow was to kill Dustfinger and Resa. In the woods, Farid, Mo, and Elinor came up with a plan. Mo was going to write a message to Meggie in their code and tie it to Gwin's collar and have him take it to Meggie. So Farid broght Gwin in the village and he climbed up the wall to Meggie's room. SHe read the letter and told Mo that she could read to and exactly where she was. Then she gave it back to Gwin and Farid took him back. Farid stole the outfits so Elinor, Mo, and himself could get into the village. They did go but Cockrel was the guard and he recognized them. He tried to shoot them but he had very bad aim. Meggie herd the gun shoots and got nervous. Fenogio told her it was not her father. The next morning Basta came and took Meggie to the Magpie again. She had Maggie practice reading the portion Capricorn wanted her to read. Later that day Fenogio asked Basta for a pencil and paper. He gave it to him. Fenogio wanted to try something, he wrote the tin soldier story with a happy ending for the soldier and had Meggie read it. She read it and the tin soldeir went back to his home and his story ended happily. Fenogio said he would write a new part of Inkheart so when Meggie read it the Shadow wouldn't hurt Dustfinger and Resa, but it would hurt Capricorn. It was worth a shot. Meanwhile the Magpie took Dustfinger and Resa to the cellar. They talked (Resa can't talk!) Dustfinger told her that he loved her, and it was O.K. that he loved her even though it was Mo's wife because Mo told him that he would not say anything to Fenogio about him/
I think this book is very going. It is filled with action and it almost never gets boring. I hope Meggie and Fenogio can pull of the trick with the Shadow. I have less than 100 pages left and I an eager to know what will happen next!

Hero and Beatrice had to move to Maryland and Hero wasn't happy about it. She was jealous because Beatrice was popular and pretty. Then their mom asked Hero if she could return their neighbor's shears. Hero didn't want to go. She walked into her garden and returned the gardening tool, that's when it all started. Mrs. Roth asked hero if she knew about the Murphy Diamond. Hero didn't hear of it and Mrs. Roth was about to tell her when Beatrice told her dinner was ready, so she told Hero she would have to come back later to here the story. The next day was the first day of school. Hero didn't want to go. Hero couldn't find her class room so she was late. The teacher, Mrs. Vanderly, introduced Hero to the class. A girl said her dog's name was Hero and everyone made fun of her. For the rest of the day (and weeks) everyone made fun of Hero. When she came home from school she went to Mrs. Roth's house and she told her the story of the Murphy Diamond. The story of the Murphy Diamond:
Edward de Vere was Mrs. Eleanor Murphy's ancestor. Eleanor got a necklace that was given to him. The necklace had a 17 carrot diamond in it. Mr. Murphy had insurance on the diamond and one day money and only the diamond. A few weeks before that his wife was diagnosed with cancer. He probably took the diamond out of the necklace so the insurance would pay him and he would have enough money to go to Mexico for an operation and treatment. While the police and the detectives were searching the house Eleanor was dying and she died before the insurance payed them Eleanor died. The police thought he hid the diamond in the house, but they searched many times and the diamond was not found.
Hero helped Mrs. Roth with crossword puzzles and they ate cinnamon toast with each other. Hero stayed until five o'clock, and Mrs. Roth didn't finish talking to Hero so she wanted her to come tomorrow after schools. At home Hero told her parents everything went well at school. They were happy. Hero's dad told her about Edward de Vere. The story of Edward de Vere:
William Shakespeare might not be the actually author of the plays. It was more likely that Edward de Vere wrote them. The real Shakespeare was an uneducated merchant. The people who work at Maxwell (people who study Shakespeare) thought it was unlikely for Shakespeare to have written the plays.

The next day at school the kids still teased her about her name. She tried to ignore it but it was hard for her. It rained really hard and she was drenched by the time she got to Mrs. Roth's house. Mrs. Roth showed Hero something. It was Eleanor's necklace. On the back there was a bird carrying a branch and AE. The diamond was not there. Mrs. Roth told Hero that there was also a note that said -

Rage, rage against the dying of the light
Mrs. Roth and Hero thought it was a clue. So they decided that Hero would look for the diamond when her parents and Beatrice were not around. So on Saturday, her parents went to the National Gallery in D.C. and Beatrice went to her friend Kelly's house. So when everyone left she started looking for a trap door in a bookshelf. (Because the poem was from a book and she thought it was a clue.) She spent four hours looking and then Danny Cordova (the hottest boy in eight grade) came over and asked her if she was looking for the diamond. She didn't want to answer but she told him yes. The two of them went to the police station they were looking for the Murphy diamond report because his father was the chief police officer. While they were looking through the files his father walked in and wanted to know what they were doing. Hero lied to him. While they were there Officer Cordova said that Mrs. Roth was Mr. Murphy's ex-wife. Hero was mad at Mrs. Roth because she thought she lied to her, the next day she yelled at Mrs. Roth.
Hero was drawing the bird on the back of the necklace and her dad saw her. He thought she was researching Anna Boleyn. The bird was actually a falcon and he was holding a staff, there was a crown on his head. Anna was Henry VIII wife, and the mother of Queen Elizabeth I.
A week later she went to her house and apologized. Hero told Mrs. Roth about Anna Boleyn, Edward de Vere, and Shakespeare. Together they concluded that Anna Boleyn was Edward's grandmother, and he didn't want any one to know he was the real Shakespeare because his mother Elizabeth I was his mother. Right around the time nine months before he was born, elizabeth disappeared. This must have meant Anna gave Elizabeth the necklace right before she was killed. So she gave the necklace to Edward and he passed it down and eventually Eleanor got it.
The next day at school a first grader who knew Hero walked up to her and said her name was written in the boys bathroom. When she was at Mrs. Roth's house with Danny and (obviously) Mrs. Roth. She told them about the boys bathroom incident. Danny said he was going to bring spray paint into the bathroom and cover the wall. Then when they were eating Hero said something about the note, that Danny didn't know about. So they showed him the poem and he thought the diamond was in a light. The lights in there house were big and there was enough room to hold a diamond. The next day at school the principal had to talk to Hero because the boys bathroom was spray painted black. She felt bad that Hero was bullied, and all of the teachers had to speak to the students about why bulling is wrong. The girl who started the dog thing invited Hero over. But she couldn't go. Hero said she would come over another time.
On that Friday after her parents went to a Maxwell party Danny came over and they looked for the diamond. They looked in all of the lights and didn't find it. Hero and Danny even broke Beatrice's light fixture. They were about to give up and they walked out on to the porch. Danny asked if she could turn on the light and she said that they couldn't find the light switch. So they took down the fixture and found the diamond. Danny took it home.
The next afternoon Hero wanted to give the diamond to Mrs. Roth. But Danny sent it to his mom in L.A. He felt very ashamed because he didn't know Mrs. Roth had the necklace. She said it was O.K. Then she told them about herself and Mr. Murphy. They had an adopted daughter and when she was seventeen she ran away. That's why they got a divorce. Mr. Murphy still loved Mrs. Roth so he wanted to be neighbors. Eleanor and Mrs. Roth became very good friends. She should them a picture of Anna. Danny said that was his mom. At first they didn't get it but the two of them looked related. Mrs. Roth was Danny's grandmother. Anna sent the diamond back and Mrs. Roth kept it.
Hero's father wanted to know what happened to the light. Hero said she was jumping on the bed and she broke it.
This book was very good. I read all of it yesterday. Once I started it I couldn't put it down. Once I saw the poem Mr. Murphy gave Mrs. Roth I knew that the diamond was in a light and I was right. I thought it was unrealistic that Danny didn't know what the rest of the letter said. This is my second favorite book. The Mystery of the Third Lucretia is my favorite.

Erik and Ellen get married on Mt. Kilamanjaro, and for their honeymoon, they decide to climb it. It is very steep and makes Ellen quesy near the summit, so she dedcides to go back down. Since she is going, Erik's dad goes down with her (he was on the journey with them). For a second, Erik thinks of backing down, but changes his mind. When he reaches the top, him and his guide run down the other side really fast (how would a blind man see where he was going and wouldn't it be to steep to run down? these are all unanswered questions).
After Erik can check two mountains off the list, he decides to climb a third bigone. El Capitan (El Cap). However, this is a very tricky mountain. You can't just go up El Cap and be done with it. There is a guy named Hans who teaches Erik how to aid climb. It is when you take a peice of gear (he carries many sizes), and you put it in the huge crack running up the mountain you're climbing. After he knew this, Erik took many practice climbs like the Leaning Tower (it's a mountain too), and Canyon's Peak. After a few practice climbs, Erik was ready to try El Cap.
But I stopped before I got to the part where he started climbing.
This book is amazing!. I just don't understand how it's possible for a blind man to climb a mountain. I can't wait to get to the part where he climbs Everest!
P.S. Jordana, yours may be the longest (even though I still don't think it is), I was the first one to "write a longest blog". I set the first record and records are set to be broken.

Chapter 1 - Chapter ? (i dont remember what chapter... maybe 5)
Indigo Casson had been sick with the flu for a long time, but finally he is well enough to go back to school. Rose, his little sister says that while Indigo was in school last year, he had been picked on by the Gang. Everybody at his school had said that he was not sick but afraid of the gang, and that was why he didn't come back the next year. Rose has gotten new glasses, because her father, Bill Casson says that she needs them. Rose absolutley hates them, so she hides them in the kitchen cabinet and doesn't wear them to school. The day before school starts, Indigo and Rose go outside, lay on the grass, and look at the stars. Rose says that she can see the stars better with her glasses on. (She starts calling them "my star - looking glasses") When Indigo goes back to school he almost forgets what to do and where to go. Then he remebers to go to the boys locker room, to change for gym. While he's in there, the Gang comes in, and starts picking on him. Then another boy, whom Indigo learns to know is Tom, comes in. He starts bouncing a rubber ball on the ground, and he begins to annoy the Gang. The gang leader turns to his "back-up", as he calls them, and tells them that they won't pick on Indigo, but Tom. They made Tom the new "victim", but Tom doesn't seem to mind. Indigo begins to hang out with Tom, and finds out that Tom's mom is a bear tamer for Yellowstone National Park, and his father is an astronaut. (Tom had come to visit his grandmother in England) (That's where this story takes place, England)
The teachers at school dont like Tom because his bounces his rubber ball on the floor during their classes, and they dont have enough sense to confiscate it. So they send Tom out of the room, but he doesn't mind. one day, Tom gets beat up by the Gang, and goes outside, in the rain, to throw up. Indigo goes with him, but comes inside when a teacher calls him in. At the end of class, Indigo goes back outside, and Tom had left. So, Indigo and his sister Rose go to Tom's home after school and bring the jacket and bookbag that he left at school. There, they hear Tom playing his guitar on his grandmother's home's roof.

Eckels wanted to go on a safari in the past. He wanted to shoot a T-Rex. He was not allowed to shoot anything except the T-Rex. He is told to listen to the guide and stay one the path. If he didn't something might happen to the present time. They go on the safari and Eckels learns that if he kills anything in history the rest of the world will suffer. He finally gets to the T-Rex and "chickens out" he runs of the path back to the time machine. When the rest of the men come back, the guide is mad because he thinks Eckels stepped off the path. (He denies it!!) So the guide makes him take out all of the bullets, from the dinosaur, that they shot. When he gets back he releases he stepped on a butterfly and the whole world changed.
I don't think that one butterfly, mouse, or anything else could change the future. If they killed a mouse that would be the same thing as a mouse dying. I think the story was O.K. I didn't think it was exciting and I don't like blood, so the part about the T-Rex and the blood kinda creeped me out.

The begining was about this guy trapped in a missile silo . He was totolly unimportant. I don't even know why they had that part. probably becuase he was about to launch all of them at the end of the chapter.
It went to where they were on top of the mountain. It was the two elves and the knight. They had both defeated their foes but the knight was dying becuase she fought a gigantic lizard-demon that was 8 feet tall with huge claws. They had to put her unconcious so they could leave her at a friends house. Later on the friends house gets destroyed by a 18- foot tall demon.
The male elf puts the city in the Loden elfstone from the mountain to save all of them. The demon army attacked after this so they had to flee. While they were escaping these flying demons swooped down and lifted him away. He threw the elfstones to the ground though just in time. They bring him to the master demon who is trying to kill Hawk (The Gypsy Morph).
Th Ghosts find Hawk and Tessa and htye get them up to speed on everything that happened. Tessa revealed that she was pregnant and everyone was happy :-). They then had to drive through the militia camp reqally fast in their AV (and an 8-year-old is driving). They then lose a member but find her again. Then the gigantic 18-foot demon appears and the Gypsy Morph turns them invisible to save them.

In this part, Erik's team continues to climb El Capitan. It is Erik's hardest climb ever. One of his climbing partners named Sam says he is jealous because his dad was never proud of him. When Erik's dad watched Erik's whole climb, Sam says Erik's dad watching them is the second best thing. At the summit, Erik meets Ellen, and they decide to go to a restaurant. Then, they meet a guy named Warding who was the first one to climb El Cap. At this point in Erik's life, he has climbed three of the tallest mountains of each continent.
Next, Erik decides to climb Aconcagua in Argentina, the tallest mountain of South America. When climbing it, many things happen. Another climbing partner named Chris says something funny called positive pessimism (i.e. it may be cold, but at least it's windy; it may be rocky, but at least there is a hole in my mattress; and the funniest of all said by Erik: you may be clumsy, but at least you're stupid). Another thing that happens on Mount Aconcagua is that Jeff, another climbing partner, takes four anticeptents on the break day, but Chris decides that they will climb that day. Jeff is half asleep all day, and Erik saves his life, by not letting him sleep. If he sleeps at that altitude after taking four anticeptents, he won't breathe again. Anyway, after they summit Aconcagua, Erik's eye almost explodes (I don't know why. Probably because he is blind and he has some eye disease).
I really like this book. I can't wait until his climb on Everest. That will be very interesting. What I still don't understand is how a blind man can write so well!

The Whole Story

This story is about a cowardly hunter named Eckels in 2055. In the beginning of the story he mentions a presidential election with a guy named Keith winning. Then, Eckels spends ten-thousand dollars on a Time-Travelling safari that goes back in time. There is a trail which you are supposed to go on, shoot a T-Rex, and go back in the time machine. However, when the T-Rex comes, Eckels goes off the traill even after the tour guide, Travis saying not to five times. Travis thinks that by killing one tiny thing, you could be terminating a whole species, and therefore changing all of history. After Eckels goes off the track and then back into the time machine, the other hunters kill the T-Rex and come back in the time machine. They go forward in time again, and when they reach, they realize that the other candidate of the earlier election, Deutsher, won the election because Eckels stepped on a butterfly (I didn't quite get that). Then, Travis shoots him for changing the future.
This was the only book that Mr. J assigned that I couldn't put down. It was really interesting except for the fact that the president changed because of a tiny butterfly!

This story is about a man hat gpes back in time to kill a T-Rex. He gets scared at the last minute and he runs. He accidentally kills a butterfly, so when they reture\n every word is speeled wierd. The president also was not elected. Instead it was the bad president. The tour guide of th hun shoots the main character after that.
I think this stry was the most interesting one we have read all year. I think this is mainly because it presensts more of a sense of action.

Homer is messen around on the farm, and not doing what hes supposed to. He talks back to sqinton and he is about to slap him and Harold gets his hand and throws him the mud. They both run and hide in the barn. sqinton gets a bunch of men to look for them. They go around with pitch forks stabbing the floorboarda and they come out. Squinton makes Harold go in the army or die for the punish,ent for this behavior, even though he is a minor, squinton says hes 21. Homer feels betrayed and sad that he has no one. He runs away looking for his brother and saving him from the army. He takes squintons horse and hides under a tree and two murders find him spying on them and think the judge sent him. This novel takes place during enslavry and segragtion.

This book is about a girl, Julia who has a friend named Patrick. Julia is Korean and Patrick is white, and they are n a group called WGGL (I forget what it stands for) WGGL sounds like wiggle, so they call it the Wiggle club. They have to think of a project to do for the club, annd Julia mom suggests they raise silkworms. Julia thinks it's too Koreran to raise silkworms, but Patrick doesn't realize that she doesn't like the idea, and starts to research it. He finds out that mulberry trees aren't very common in their area, so they have to put up flyers for a Mulberry tree. QWhen they finally find a Mulberry tree, they also find that the man who owns it is black... Julia's mother doesn't like black people. So her mother isn't happy with Julia going to his house to the leaves. Then, Patrick and Julia order the worms, and it takes two weeks for them to come. Then, it takes two more weeks for the eggs to hatch. The kids tape the worms everyday, and take four pictures each day too.
I like this book so far, even though it's kind of slow-going.

The two murders squint and smelt still investigat Homer. He tells them a lie, how his parents are visiting queen elizebeth and his dad has been called to cut down 10 trees. (and they believe him)They have a man with a bag over his head, they get a knife and open the bag. He's black and they tell him to them where the slaves are. They are about to kill him and Homer says he'll be nothing to you if hes dead, and they agree. They tell Homer to go to Mr. Brewster's houde. A rich man who has slaves and a lot of money. They tell him he gives poor kids a nice meal and tells them his secrets. He is suppose to rn away and tell them his secrets. He goes in and Mrs. Brewster gives him a nice meal and asks where hes from. He says smelt, and is happy he hasnt said stink.(shes never heard of this). Then Mr Brewster comes and talks to him and takes im to the gold mine in his basement. Then to the Backward. He says there is no such place as smelt. He says there are two men named stink, and smelt who have tried to spy on me for the longest time. Homer wants to say something, but the words are taken from his lips.

julia and patrick have a fight because when patrickk tells her that he has worm-phobia, she gets mad at him because if he hadn't wanted to do the project, why didn't he just tell her that? also, in the beginning, she hadn't wanted to do the project, so they could have done something else besides raising silkworms. They also get mad at eachother because Julia tells Patrick that she thought the project was too Korean, and finds out that you have to kill the worms to get the silk. She gets really upset, and doesn't talk to Patrick for a couple days. Then Patrick sends an email to Julia, showing her the Susan B. Anthony (who was american, he emphasises) had raised silkworms. After that, they begin to talk again, and They boil the worms to get the silk. They enter the fair with videos, pictures, and an embroidered picture of the silkworms. They win second place.
I liked this book, although it was a little slow-going. It was kind of hard to read because of some run-ons and a lot of commas.

The Sun rose wearily into the sky. John’s alarm went off with its signature loud groaning sound. He got out of his bed and went straight downstairs. He slept in his clothes, because it was his only pair. He made his usual breakfast, one piece of toast and some milk. He held his nose as he gulped down the milk and yelled to his mom, “Hey mom, I’m heading to school.” In response he heard a groaning sound.
He picked up his ragged 5 year-old backpack and headed out the door. He stood in front of his house for about 15 minutes until the bus arrived. He noticed whispered conversations about him as he walked by the rows of seats. He took his usual seat, next to his best friend Michael. “Hi Michael,” said John.
“Hi John. Did you hear about this disease that’s going around?” responded Michael.
John shook his head no and said, “No, I haven’t. Does anyone know where it came from and what is it supposed to do to you?”
“It supposedly came from a Pharmaceutical testing lab; they were trying to make a cure for Swine Flu, and it created some sort of mutant strain that makes strips of flesh rot away, and it gives you radical emotions, like you might really like someone one minute, and the next you want to kill them. It also is supposed to disable your ability to speak for a time.”
John thought about this briefly for a second and thought about how his mother had just groaned at him instead of saying something to him earlier when he was leaving.
They arrived at school and John learned that he had a substitute because his teacher was out with the disease. John’s day at school was uneventful, other than a boy jumping on his desk and shouting at the top of his lungs in the middle of class. It ended up that he had the disease to.
When John returned home he found his home more trashed than usual. Broken glass, bottles lay on the floor, next to the half-eaten rats that inhabited his home. He walked carefully through examining everything. The TV had a gaping hole in the screen, and the remaining of the TV was covered with blood. The tiny sofa had all of the contents ripped out of it, bits of cotton and wood were strewn everywhere.
John walked up the steps, hearing a wheezing sound coming from his mother’s bedroom. He walked into it, only to see his mother on her bed, in her blood-soaked night-gown begin laughing hysterically. She then turned towards him, with a big grin on her face. “Hello Johnathan,” she said with a cracked grin. She began walking toward him with a long knife. He slowly backed away and then turned around a sprinted down the steps. He grabbed a phone, dialed 911, and dashed out of the house as fast as he could.

I stared at the big arch I wondered if it would actually work. My 50 year old professor, Cornelius and I had built a time machine that he said would worke. We were about to go through it and I was scared out of my mind. All of the movies I had seen about time travel always ended horribly. I looked at the calender and it said May 2010. Cornelius had been in trouble with the law and the economy was worse than the great depression. America was also not in the best of relations with China and that made everyone more scared. So he built a time travel machine so we could leave and go to the year 2070.
“All right Ricky lets go.” said my proffesor. He flipped the switch and the arch started to have a big purple corcle appeared around it. This can’t be happening, this can’t be happening, this can’t be happining I kept thinking. Then I stepped through the portal.
The light overwhelmed me and I fell to the gound. I heard my professor yell “You’re still in one piec- Oh… My… God.” Ricky get up and look around. I stood up and looked around. “Cornelius i- i- is this America?” Cornelius looked at me, “I do belive that would be the case. This can’t be real. I said. What the hell happened?! Well this looks like were at the same place we were, Vineland, New Jersey but everything changed. Well yes Cornelius I can see that but this wouldn’t happen by animals.” I kept looking around to try and take in all of what ever happened. “Well Ricky it would appear as though the earth stopped spinning. That in trn caused all of this side to heat up and the other side to cool down. Just like mercury. Then I yelled, “IS THERE ANYBODY WHO IS STILL ALIVE! Yes ricky just look left. Ok I don’t need your sarcasm. I replied. Well, He said, I guess we should start walking and try to find anything that’s alive. SO we walked. And we walked. We walked untill we couldn’t walk anymore. “Well Ricky it seems like were doomed. Our faces will melt and or burn off our skin and we’ll die. Then I added, But sir if the planet stopped moving wouldn’t it be very hot? Well yes Ricky it would what is your point? Well sir my watchomometer say its only 75 degrees. If that be the case then I don’t think the world stopped spinning.”
After that we slept for a couple hours. We ware awakened by a giant ant that came out of a tunnel. “God Cornelius run!” Then we made a break for it. I got out my 9mm and fired at it. I broke off its antenna and it spit out fire. Then I could aim and I shot its head. “Thank god you brought that pistol Ricky. We would have been and food withought it.” Then Cornelius walked over to the ant and examened it. It was 12 feet long and 5 feet wide. It was also capable of breathing fire. After walking for 5 more hours we came across a town with children. Many many children. They also seemed extremely happy to be alive for this hell on earth. One boy about ten years old came up to me and screamed “I’M SO HAPPY TO BE ALIVE HERE IN AREFU! Ok kid calm down now are there any adults I can talk to here. YES THERE ARE. THEY ARE IN THE HOUSE!” Then he pointed to the only house still standing. Cornelius then said, “Thank you young man now well be on out way before we catch what you have.” When we went inside we saw three adults, two women and one man. They were as happy as the kids. They offered us dinner but we declined. Then they turned unhappy and the man started to punch Cornelius. I wasn’t very happy about that so I kicked his leg. The two women screamed and tried to punch me too.

The book started with the queen's husband, who is a magician, tells her that their daughter Medea, who he banished into the shadow realm was till alive, This was a big deal becuase if you could survive the shadow realm thatn you were really powerfu. She is also the grandaughter of the ruler of the bad guys, Cronus. To prove herself that she is worthy of Cronus, she has to face her grandfather's 6 disciples. She turns into a dragon and then faces them. They turn her back to her human form, and they turn her into ice. She becomes very hot though, which melts the ice, she then tunrs herslef into her grandfather, which tricks them. She killed the disciples with a spell.
The story then goes to the princess of the cats playing a game with the desert prince and the prince of Icemark. They both were trying to capture the other. This is where I stopped reading.
The author is very descriptive. I really like the way that they write the book.

Cujo is a book about a dog who has rabies named Cujo. There was a man in a town who was a homicidal freak killer. He killed about ten people and then cut their bodies up. When the police finally cought him they killed him. Now he came back, In dog form. Cujo was this man, except a dog who has rabies and doesn't use a knive to kill people but his teeth and claws. Now a little boy named Tad is seeing things in his closet. He sees monsters but when he yells for his parents to come help the monster goes away.

He runs out the the house not nkowing what to do. Smelt is in the bushes waiting, he asks him where te slaves are hidden. Homer says they hidden in the tool shed. Then smelt says all thhere is in there is dirt. Homer says it's in the dirt. Smelt doesn't believe him so he gets stink(who has "tied up the man with the bag over his head Fetus. THey go and in the backyard in front of the toolshed. Out of nowwhere comes Fetus with a rod and hits Smelt in the head. Then him and Stink fight and Fetus also knocks him out. They both tie him up. Homer is very happy Fetus saved him, and he said just returning the favor. Then Fetus takes all the slaves in wagons and heads off to the border, where they can free. Homer sleeps in Mr. Wilsons confey bed, and eats delicious pancakes. Mr WIlson asks him hes gonna stay or not then he says no. Mr Wilson keeps his horse and gives him a train ticket to where his brother is exactly at. He doesn't want him to go alone so he sends along Mr. Willow a rondom guy. They go to the trainstation and hop on. The get off there next stop and a girl is walking and tripps and Mr Willow catches her. Then her brother comes and thax him for saving his sister. THey go have a bite to eat. Mr Willow is really stupid, and him and Miss nibly(the sister) have chemistry. ITs almost time to board and they all come to the train station and they are about to board and Mr Willow looks and shes not there

This book is about orphans looking for "special oppurtunities". They get the oppurtunites because they pass a group of tests made by a strange man with narcolepsy (Mr. Benedict). Mr. Benedict wants these children to become spies and solve a mission. They go to a school owned by a man named Ledroptha Curtain. The four children (Reynard "Reynie" Muldoon who is nice and calm, George "Sticky" Washington who is a scaredy-cat, Constance "Connie" Contraire who is always grouchy and stubborn, and Kate who always has her bucket handy with precious things in it) get into a lot of trouble, and find out about a machine called a Whisperer. This machine was made by Ledroptha Curtain. The way it worked was it asked children (the Messengers at Mr. Curtain's school) to repeat phrases and sent these phrases to people's minds without them knowing. Only people with a love of truth couldn't resist the Messages. The Whisperer could also get rid of "bad memories". Mr. Curtain made the Whisperer so he could become famous. However, in the end, the children who eventually name themselves the Mysterious Benedict Society, manage to shut down the machine because Contraire resists the Whisperer and confuses it.
Finally, Mr. Benedict, who looks and sounds exactly like Mr. Curtain, tells the confused machine to shut down. Then, they all end up happily ever after. Reynie Muldoon is adopted by his favorite person, Ms. Perumal. Sticky is taken back to his parents who he ran away from. Constance, who everyone finds out is only two years old, is adopted by Mr. Benedict. And Kate finds her long lost father who lost his memory to Mr. Curtain's Whisperer.
I loved this book. I skipped a lot of little details. The book may seem confusing if you read this blog, but if you read the book you will understand how truly interesting this novel is. Trenton Lee Stewart is a great author and I cant wait to read the second book.

Mrs. Rachel goes to Marilla Cuthbert's home to find out where Matthew Cuthburt is going. Marilla says he is going to the train station to pick up a boy that another lady adopted for the Cuthberts. Mrs. Rachel thinks this is outrageous and says that marilla can't handle a boy. She threatens them with stories of adopted boys burning down houses. Marilla says that the woman picked out a good boy, nd that she can handle a boy. she needs the boy to help Matthew on the farmer, because he was getting old. When matthew gets to the station, he finds only a girl there. he asks the station manager if there were a boy around, but he says that a lady dropped off the girl, and put her into his care for a man to come by and take her. So, Matthew takes the girl, whom he finds to be Anne Shirley back to Green Gables, where Marilla and he lives. While going home, Anne talks a lot and tells matthew that she loves to imagine things prettier, but she cant imagine her red hair away, which is why a day can never be perfect because she hates her red hair. when they get to Green gables, Anne has already re-named Miller's Lake to The lake of Shining Waters, and The Forest (which I can't remember what she re-names it, but she does) When marilla sees that Matthew has brought home a girl instead of a boy, she is "appauled"
I love this book. The author really tells you what things look like with a lot of detail and has Anna talk a lot, and I like what she has to say, usually.

Well Will, Hoarace, and Evelyan are folling the wargals. when the wargals came to theirr destinatoin the three of them hid behind a bush. when they looked over the peak they saw people being beat for not build this bridge for Moragrath (the evil guy) so his soilders could cross between mountains. when Will saw this he had rembered Halt (his master/teacher) stole some plans from Moragrath and rembered nothing about a bridge. they Hoaace pointed out that they were building a tunnel threw the mountain.
this part of the book was kind of exciting. i mean they only saw people getting beat while a building a bridge and Moragrath might have a easier way to win the war.

I left off where everyone is entering the dining hall. tHey all have a party than the wolf king's daughter is told that she is not allowed to go into the forest on a cmapjng trip. She complains, and her parents say she needs a tudor. The queen's old tudor becomes hers, and he sends her on an assignment into the woods for two days on a trip classifying animals and plants.
Meanwhile in the shadowlands, medea is visited by Cronus. He is angerred for her destoying his disciples, she did not have to do that. He spares her though. H e tells her that it s a problem that she hates her brother so much. She said the he hated, but he said that he hates in abstract. Thios is where I ended.
I think the book is really good becuase it helps you form a picture in your head really well.

Well last time i told you Will, Hoarace, and Evalyn found a bridge being built in between two moutains and a tunnel. well Will had found a man in the tunnel who was affraid of the sun or something like th and told Will to put him back into the tunnel and Will did, but at nitgh he went in the tunnel seeing where it ended up. When he got to the end of the tunnel he saw a light, but it wasn't moonlight it was stronger than that. When he look through the hole it went into Moragraths castle. And in the room it ended up in was where Skanians a group of people who are fighting with Moragrath, are eating in the dinning room talking about the war.
i thought these chapters of the book were interesing because you learned more about the war and Will almost got peed on.

cap was still really a nobody untill somthing happend to his teacher so he drove a school bus to the hospital but he was stoped by the police. all the kids were fasanated by the story they all thought cap was a hero. he started a tie die class in art ,had some true followers to meditate with him, played the gutair and played classic songs in music and got somekids to join in sining with him, and did tai chi classes in the front of the school, he also planes to have a awsome halloween dance with djs and ovens to make your own pizzas! also back at the house with sophie cap learns about hair care products and t&t a popualr tenn sopopra he and sophie watch. it was sophies dad whos divorcide came and gave here a dimond braclet engraved but he left unexpectedly with it and cruched sophie. so when cap went to the bank with his teacher to get a check book to pay for the dance he stopped in the jewlery store got the same braclet and engraved the same words in it put in a evolope and put in the mail for sophie she was thrilled
i think cap is a great president with the progress on the dance and all the clubs he started plus making a girl happy then a lepercon with gold

I finished this a while ago but i never did a blog on it.
Dusty begins to trust the weird kid. He's accused of many thing like rape .But dusty knows that he forgets everything he does and would never rape anyone. When the news gets out that dusty talks to the boy, dusty runs out of school. She got tired of the people accusing her. She finds people stalking her and they chase her to an rv which happens to be amanda's. Amanda's mom keeps her hidden but eventually she's revealed. The boy helps her but she when she sneaks up on him in a train to run, he got scared and knocked her uncounsious by his heat. Later, he cme to the hospital to apologize and she finally sees his figure. When she gets better, she figure out that her room is trashed. Then , the hunter for the boy go to her house and she hides. The boy saved her by playing his ocaarnia so the people would chase him instead. Dusty rescueshim The boy drives a little and tell dusty to get out . Then he drives into a river. A few days later, she finds out that his body wasn' found. But her run-away brother josh, was.
This book was really good because it had a lot of dialouge. It was different and a cliff hanger. You never know hat happens to the boy. This book was also kind of depressing at the end because she finds out her brother committed suicide after her life long search for him.

The story starts out with Kendra helping out with daycare at her school. She is feeling in these bozes this guy is showing her and she gets pricked by something. He said he thought he had taken it out he thought, and he left. She went into his office later becuase he called her there. Sh then came face-to-face with herself, and the man mugged her. She finds herself on the estate of an lectoblix, someone that can drain youth from others.
Back at home Kendra's brother notices that his sister is acting wierd. The gaurds that were placed on them check the mail that she sent out, and it ended up being a letter sending info to the enemy. They ask her questions but the copy commits suicide by drinking poison. This is where I left off.
I love this Auhtor's style of writing. He really captures you in the book. He also gives a goo dpicture in your head. This is one of my favortie authors.

Tad and his Mom, Donna decide to have a picnic one day. But the mom needs to stop at her friends house before. When Donna gets there she notices something odd. There is no car in the driveway, the garage is open, and the froon door is open too. Thats when Cujo, a 200 pound 4 feet long rabid saint bernard jumped from the open garage and tried to attack Donna. Donna wasn't in shock and was able dodge Cujos jump attack. Cujo slid and tried do attack Donna again but donna sat down in her car and slammed the door shut. After 2 days withought food or water, insida a 104 degree car Donna and Tad were still alive. Thats when a polica officer went to go check the house. When he stepped out of his police car Cujo bit a hole in his stomach. The police officers ofgan fell out as he tried to get his pistol out. Then the dog jumped ontop of the police officer and he dropped his gun. Cujo killed the police officer. Then Donna got out and got a wooden baseball bat from the lawn and tried to hit Cujo. After three strikes to the head tha bat broke, but Cuja was still alive. He knocked Donna down and tried to bite her neck, when Donna took the splintery end of the bat and stuck it in Cujos eye. Cujo then died.
Cujo is one of the best books I have read. It was very interesting and i do reccomend it. I think Donna just should have gotten the bat earlyer on and hit Cujo. She had to wait untill sha and Tad were on the verge of Death.

This book is about a boy who is raised in a graveyard with immortals. (I would call them zombies but they aren't ugly and thay don't eat flesh) The boy is there because his mom, dad, and older sibinling were all murdered by a man named Jack. Jack planned to kill the baby but the baby got away before he could. The baby walked up a hill to the graveyard where he was found by Mr. and Mrs.Owens. They brought him back to the graveyard where he was allowed to live. There the baby was named Nobody Owens. Nobody, when he was six met a girl who was very nice. Eventually they became good friends and hung out every day.
So far this is a very good book. It's interesting and exciting. I don't know how a six month old baby was able to walk up a hill but who am i to judge? It is an exciting book and i reccomend it to anyone.
