This book is about a girl named Mia Thermopolis. Her mom dates her Algebra teacher. She is very mad at her mom for dating her teacher. She is failing Algebra. Her father calles to talk to her mother. When he is talking to Mia, he sounded weird. Mia gose to viset her father. He tells her that she is a princess. Her father is a prince. She gets mad that they did not tell her for all her life.
This book is very good so far. This book is in diarie form so it's very easy to tell when things are happening. I was a little confused about the things that they were talking about in the Algebra class.

The Carnivorous Carnival
Alexandra
Chapters 1-8

Since Violet, Klaus and Sunny Baudelaire were in the trunk of Count Olaf's car, they went were he did. They end up in Caligari Carnival, which is owned by Madame Lulu, a fortune teller. So that the Baudelaires don't get caught, they take disquises from Count Olaf's car, and pretend to be a two headed freak- violet and klaus dressed in one shirt and one pair of pants- called Beverly and Eliot and a half wolf, half human-Sunny wrapped in a fake beard that looks like fur- called Chabo, the wolf baby. They dress up like freaks so that they can get hired by Madame Lulu, be put into the "Freaks" caravan and so that they won't be recognized by Count Olaf. They are hired and put in the caravan. The other people in the caravan are Colette-a contorsionist- Hugo- a hunchback- and Kevin- a boy with ambidextrious arms AND legs. They have to preform for the people who come to the carnival, which is very humiliating and sadening. Everybody laughs at them. (A few chapters later) Madame Lulu tells Count Olaf that one of the Baudelaire parents is still alive and hiding in a moutain range. The children wan to know if one of their parents IS still alive, so they go into Madame Lulu's tent. They find an archival library underneath her crystal ball and a fake-lighting makernt Olaf's troupe (not a good idea, but they do anyway because they feel it's the only thing they can do, Colette, Kevin and Hugo, that is). When the feeding event begins, Count Olaf calls out the name of the person who is going to be eaten. He calls out, "Beverly and Eliot, the two headed freak" (that's Violet and Klaus in their diguised names).

I am very excited about what's going to happen next. I wonder if Madame Lulu (or Olivia) will be killed or not. I hope she won't be. I hope the Baudelaires find their parents and the secret of V.F.D.!

The Penultimate Peril
Chapter 6.5 - 8.5 (I am very close to Chapter 9)

Sunny the youngest Baudelaire went to a room with the professors and vice principle from the Austere Academy Book (Book the Fifth.) The vice principle, Nero made Sunny escort them to the Indian restaurant on the ninth floor. Mrs. Bass the Math teacher at the school ordered a lot of food using metric terms. Mr. Remora the literature teacher ordered fried bananas and VP Nero ordered nothing. Sunny went to fetch napkins and she over heard Frank or Ernest talking to Hal. They were talking about JS when Sunny was caught Ernest or maybe Frank told her to put a lock on the laundry room door. When she meet up with her siblings they all told there stories and in all of the stories they met either Frank or Ernest, but there are only two brothers so who was the third brother. Later that night they met the third brother Dewy. He told them the code for the hotel because he built it.

I think this book is very good as I said before LS (Lemony Snicket) writes the book a if he is talking to you. LS does a good job describing details and the ends of the chapters are always irony! (Is that how you use it in context?) As I read more of his boos I think I'm getting a message that LS is trying to show (notice that I said show) the readers. It is:

In every story LS mentions something about Beatrice. In the book that I'm reading now, it says in the beginning: For Beatrice - No one could extinguish my love, or your house. During the story several times so far LS says something about Beatrice and how he loves her. Alexandra and I have been talking and we think Beatrice is a parent of the Baudelaires and LS is one of the orphans. Count Olaf is based on a real person and LS was (or is) trying to find a place where he belongs and a home. Beatrice could also be his Mother by he is not giving away that secret.

Little Brother
Cory Doctorow
1-184

Okay, here we go. This may sound like a 2 point, Lower level book about a guy who takes care of his brother. To tell you the truth, I don't even know why it's called "Little Brother". It should be called "Terrorist Attack!" or "Bombs away!". Well, as you may have guessed, it is about a terrorist attack. In San Francisco there is a virtual reality game going on, which a group of high schoolers are playing. They have to look for clues around town and solve puzzles online. They ditch school to look for the clues. They end up in the middle of a terrorist bomb attack. One of them (Darryl) gets stabbed and ask for help from a truck/police automobile (Hard to describe). It happens to belong to guess who, Department of Homeland Security!!!! The officials think they are the terrorists and they put them each in boxes and takes them to prison which happens to be in a ship. (Now do you see why I think the title is so random?) As I was saying the officers think that the group is a terrorist group and take them on a ship prison and ask them all kinds of jazzy questions that invade their privacy like what is your email address and passwords for USB keys. They were really ruthless and did not care about the people who were away from home but kept on mercilessly questioning them. (The whole town thinks that the people have just disappeared) After 6 days of questioning, the DHS finally realizes that they are innocent and releases the students along with other people. When they come back to town, they don't tell anyone about their interesting experience. The group realizes that Darryl is missing and never got off the ship. Then, they start to protest against the DHS for invading people's privacy. The only girl named Van (Vanessa) doesn't agree with fighting against the government so she quits. Another student, Marcus (the first person narrator) and a Mexican named Jolu start a crypto club that will communicate through crypto ( a code language so the DHS don't understand) and fight against the DHS to prevent invasion of privacy. Well that's where I stopped. Oh by the way..... throughout the book, Marcus and Van are "just friends", but later on in the book he describes her as h4wt. He just "realizes it". At least he admits it (unlike some British books cough cough Narnia cough cough)

I think this book is way better than Narnia. I can't wait till I go on to the next part. It had a surprise beginning (that's a first) and a very interesting storyline which made it a very good book so far. I think it might be my favorite book this year.

Kelsee
Twilight
Finished

Kelsee
New Moon(sequal)
Pages: 1-140 something.

I forget what was the ending of Twilight and the beginning of New Moon. I'll try my best to what i can remember.

End of Twilight:
Bella is invited over the Cullens' House, she meets another vampire whom has a fondness to her human smell of blood. He then tricks her into meeting; he tells calls and tells her to meet him at her old dance studio with her mom, whom he doesn't have, again, he's trying to trick her to bite her. When she goes, he break her arm(?) leg and she has other broken parts.

Farther into New Moon upto the page I'm now at:
Bella gets invited to the Cullens' again. They have a party to celebrate Bella's birthday. As she opens her present, she gets a paper-cut. Edward smells the blood oozing from her finger, and attacks her, as well as his other 2 or 3 brothers. Edwards (adoptive) dad (Dr. Cullen) save Bella from the boys.

At another point, Edward leaves Bella "forever."

Skipping to another chapter to where I'm at:
Bella and Jake become friends.
