Treasure Island Post
Young Jim, our narrator, is very careful to give us details about what he sees and hears. Because he renders those observations is such detail, readers tend to believe that the details he provides are reliable. However, Jim is young and inexperienced. He seems to have particular trouble interpreting the motivations of people he meets. Please post examples of Jim's youth and inexperience under the comments to this post.

when blind Pew came to the "Admiral Benbo", when he met long john silvers, when he met the captain he thought he was bad.
Hope-
Jim thinks Long John Silver is the seafarring man with one leg.
He thought that going to an island to find treasure would be really fun just like his fantasys.

on page 40, he says that his mom wouldn't want his help, so he got a aprentice. he also calls the apprentice a clumsy boy even though he hasn't met him well.

Jim goes through obstacles in his. One example is that his father dies. Another example is to see Captain Bill die. The nexct example is that he finds a letter in a chest of captains, when pirates are looking for it. Another example is that whyen he runs away from the pirets he risks his life in a ditch to listen to Pew. Lastly, is to risk his life by listening to the captains and the sea fairing man talk.

jim thinks the captain is scary when he just drinks alot.
jim also thinks long john silver is the seaferring man with one leg when he is actually a good guy.

10/23/10-Daniel Da Bombness Farrell going against Max's and Jake's post about when Jim's assumptions were wrong in treasure island.
I say both Max and Jakes posts have nothing to do with the subject we were supposed to post because: Jakes posted a theory about Jim, not reasons why about Jim that make him an unreliable narrator and Max's post is more of a plot summary than anything.

For Gianni's post, he cries when he leaves his mom isnt inexperence most people would cry if they had to leave their mom.

jake i disagree, he has only dropped in on Black dog and Bill's conversation. Also that doesnt show that he's unreliable.
